Bobcaygeon

"The Hub of the Kawarthas", with a population of close to 3000, is also Lock 32 on the Trent-Severn Waterway. The name of the town is derived from the Native word "Bobcaygewanunk" meaning "shallow rapids" or "swirling rivers around islands".
